Biographic Sketch of
Jack Park gives pretty good Google. To do that, he is very active on several email lists including those related to the Open Hyperdocument System concepts of Douglas Engelbart. He is a founding member of the original XTM Authoring Group, topicmaps.org, from which the concept of this book came, along with many of the authors. He is also the lead developer of the Nexist™ open-source topic map system. He is co-author and Editor of the forthcoming book _XML Topic Maps_ (Addison-Wesley, July, 2002). Jack is enrolled (not quite) in a Ph.D. project at the Knowledge Media Institute at the Open University, Milton Keynes, UK. His research topic involves taking dialog mapping into the classroom.
