ONTOLOG (a.k.a. "Ontolog Forum") <http://ontolog.cim3.net/wiki/>
Founder & Co-Convener
A virtual community of practice
(CoP) that has been in active operation since April 2002. ONTOLOG
(a.k.a. "Ontolog Forum") is an open, international, community devoted
to advancing the field of ontology, ontological engineering and
semantic technology, and advocating their adoption into mainstream
applications and international standards. Ontolog is the preeminent
community in its domain and has a membership roster that includes some
of the most prominant names in the field. Ontolog has been organizing
relevant technology events and capturing them into its knowledge
repository, to the extent that it now holds one of the richest body of
knowledge in the ontology domain that is openly accessible.

CIM ENGINEERING, INC. (dba. "CIM3") (San Mateo, CA) < http://www.cim3.com
>
President and CEO
Function : Advisor, strategist, and integrator of technology companies
comprising global partners (or strategic alliances) to form virtual
enterprises. Program Manager and Developer of distributed eBusiness and
collaborative systems that operate over the Internet.
Accomplishments
: Pioneered the development and application of collaboration technology
in manufacturing and software development; and in the integration of
multi-cultural
virtual teams and global enterprises -- proponent (first in 1990) of
"CIM3" (Computer Integrated Man-Machine Manufacturing) which is an
approach to holistic corporate (manufacturing especially) improvement
through extending the traditional CIM architecture and design to
incorporate the paradigm of Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW).
The term "CIM3" now re-designated
to stand for "Collaboration In huMan-Machine-Methodology". The
company structures its current business around CIM3.NET the tier-1
infrastructure through which it delivers its software as a service
(SaaS) to communities of
practice
(CoP's) and distributed project teams. Clients and users of the CIM3
Collaborative Work Environment (CWE) product include those from
the US Federal Government, Major Corporations, Standards Bodies,
Academia, Research and International communities.
5/00 - 09/01
VERTICALNET, INC. (Palo Alto, CA / Horsham, PA) <
http://www.verticalnet.com >
Director of Program Management
Function : VerticalNet was a technology
pioneer and the first enterpise systems company of its kind to employ
ontological engineering as the key approach towards its software
solutions. Provided leadership and
support particularly on the strategic components of the Program
Management Office (PMO) for the company. The PMO co-leads development
of B2B eCommerce
products and other non-routine programs and projects of the Company.
